"We come from where and we return to where?"This sentence can be understood as an exploration of the origins and destinations of life, a universal philosophical reflection. The work "SIMONA" was created for an exhibition during Paris Fashion Week featuring the supermodel Simona.

The piece is titled "AGE 18 . 180 CM . 54 KG" and is a sculpture made up of 18 blocks of clay. Together, these blocks represent her age, height, and weight at the time. However, over time, the surface of the clay blocks began to crack and dry up,gradually turning into dust, eventually dispersing into nothingness.

This work not only presents the physical data of an individual but also presents the essence and reflection of life and existence in a simple and intuitive way,
revealing the impermanence and fragility of life, and pondering the meaning of existence. Regardless of who we are, we will all return to dust.

In Buddhist philosophy, the concept of reincarnation tells us that we come from dust and will return to dust. In Western culture, there is a similar belief, such as "ashes to ashes, dust to dust." This truth is not different for us based on our identity, status, or appearance. Age, height, weight, and beauty are all temporary measures.
